Our History
Gordon Scherer, the President of SCG Services, has a successful history operating businesses in Columbus, Ohio.  A brief look at SCG's history and evolution is below:

1975 - 1995, Digital Equipment Computer Distributor
  • $500M aggregate sales
  • 20 - 30 employees

1984 - 1996, Scherer's Communication, Inc., Commercial IVR Provider
  • 3,000 lines of IVR for consumer product recalls
  • Inter-exchange carrier (IXC) and CLEC
  • 130 employees
  • 52 of Fortune 100 companies were customers
  • AT&T's 3rd largest customer in Ohio
  • Acquired 19-acres in Worthington, Ohio and built 5-acre telco campus in 1998
    • 5-acre telco campus is 65,700 sq. ft. fed by 2 power grids
  • AT&T moved next door (at Scherer's Court) in 1988
    • This led to 19 other carriers setting points of access and points of presence on the property
  • Acquired by Cinicnnati Bell in 1996
    • Part of $3B spin-off as Convergys in 1997

1997 - 1999, EZ-Results
  • 4th largest web search engine
  • Patents and technology acquired by Ask.com

1999-2005, Scherer's Conferencing
  • Audio conferencing and web collaboration service bureau
  • 20 employees
  • Acquired by Arkadin in 2005

2007 - present, Scherer's Collocation Group (SCG)
  • Built 10,800 sq. ft., Tier IV data center and began leasing space
