November 13, 2008 - Worthington, Ohio:  SCG Services announces channel partner program

The need that businesses have for data center space is global.  No longer are organizations looking for a place to house their primary servers that's geographically convenient, they're also looking for diversity.  Considering the new disaster recovery and business continuity requirements of many public companies, it seems obvious that businesses are looking outside of their state lines for data center solutions.

"In the marketplace today, we see more and more companies electing to move their primary servers, back-up servers, or storage arrays to a geographically strategic location," states Gordon Scherer, the President of SCG Services.  "Large organizations can't take the risk of business downtime due to failed networks or loss of service due to a centralized disaster such as a hurricane or grid outage."

To reach customers in new locations, SCG Services is implementing a channel partner program that will allow the company to extend their sales efforts in the most productive way:  Partner with channels that have common clients.  "Typical channels include telecom and data providers, end-user equipment providers, and IT firms.  SCG is also open to alternative channels, including other business-to-business organizations that have a common customer base," remarked Kim Gerhart, National Account Executive for SCG.
